Possibly the greatest TV show of our generation.
For me previously this title was held by The Thick of It (for which Jesse Armstrong co wrote for the first three seasons) but this show, and it breaks my heart to say it, has absolutely blown it out of the water.
The characters, all evil and Machiavellian in their own way, are perfectly written. All of them completely screwed up by the big man at the top, Logan Roy, in some way or another portrayed by a phenomenal ensemble cast results in a Game of Thrones-esque character driven plot with the perfect dollop of satire of the American 1%.
Every episode has you absolutely gripped to see what’s coming next in an epic tale of love, betrayal, and messed up family relationships that leaves you desperate for more. Roman, Shiv and Kendall desperate vying for their fathers attention and affection whilst playing off each other’s insecurities and trauma inflicted on their childhood and throughout their adult life with phenomenal dark horses such as Tom, Greg, Gerri and co. makes for quite possibly the best show ever written.
The characters arcs of each are almost inconceivably evil and this show will go down in history as the most compelling story driven satire of capitalism and American corporatism of the early 21st century.
