This book was very healing. I am a person affected by slave trade Diaspora, and I feel like I can finally understand what happened in my lineage. We have such little information with my own immediate family tree. We are from St. Louis and I have been living in New York. Over the past several years, life here has allowed for me to see what has happened for the many branches of Black people in America and abroad. Its a wonderful read, truly informative and immensely resonant.
