This book is unlike anything I've ever read. Orwell's books always are. The negative utopia and the philosophical explanations are almost ethereal. The inevitability of the outcome of the romance between Winston and Julia is a tool expertly used by Orwell to sustain the audience's attention to detail. It's one of the most enduring books in my collection along with Animal Farm. A 10/10
