I can't believe that I am Pilgrim and Year of the Locust were written by the same person.
The first 350 pages were OK and believable but from that point on the storyline all went to custard.
Russia mining asteroids?
Aliens from asteroids that infect most of earth's population 24 years in the future?
Submarine that leaps through time and back again with only 1 person on board?
Aliens that are strong, fast, unable to be killed except by Spears that kill the aliens by hitting behind the ear at 62 degrees?
The 24 year war, where did the guns, ammunition, spears, food come from to sustain the few earthlings left fighting for their existence?
In the middle of battle an espresso gets handed out made from 24 year old beans that Starbucks had?
Come on!
I won't be waiting with anticipation for another 6 years for Terry Hayes' 3rd book.
