Honestly 2 hours I will never get back. If you enjoy spending 30 seconds watching someone slowly walk up a wall, or watching a stationary stone for a two minutes straight, or watching someone float and heavy breathe for five minutes with literally nothing else going on this will be right down your alley.
Movie could've been 20 minutes long and portrayed the exact same story, and evoked the exact same emotional responses from a modern audience.
Perhaps this was a movie ahead of it's time - I don't know - I wasn't alive back then. I can see how it was. But at this point in time, the story is cliche and has been done a million times over, the visual effects at times can be bad enough that they ruin immersion (however to be fair like 75% of the time they're alright), and the characters are bland because 90% of the movie is filler without any actual story.
