It's an awesome book. Been selling to wealthy investors for 5 years. Has had a meaningful impact on my ability to qualify my clients and identify their best interests. Less wasting time on people who aren't the right people. I learn more about them, have better rapport, and things are going well. He teaches to find a good product to sell (that's on us according to the SEC, not the company you sell for). He is open about his past and how he has changed his approach. He did prison time. He learned. Anyone who attacks his character in reviewing the book has some other issues in their head and are completely missing the message. It is heavy on compliance and has techniques to maintain compliance and good investor relations. Don't sell yourself short. Empty your cup of knowledge and refill it with The Straightline Method.
Unless you make more than Jordan Belfort and other stellar salespeople, in which case you probably know better than them. Humility and self-discipline today will set you free.
