I thought the book presented a glorified version of school shootings. The novel lacked the understanding needed to really immerse the reader in the world. I found the storyline unrealistic, confusing, boring at times, and cheesy. There were too many plot lines and not enough time for the reader to get to know the characters. Because the actual shooting started before any character development and because there were 4 perspectives, the character’s deaths were not heartfelt. I do not recommend this book and it does not deserve the praise it receives.
