One of the best books I’ve read. Intense, tragic and yet slightly funny, it’s beautifully told from his own child perspective which gives a brilliant read that you just don’t want to put down. The ending is really sad and the bad times for Tommy are told in an innocent and yet passionate way. 100% would recommend. What I will say is if you are reading this out of interest of the Moors Murders I.e Ian Brady and Myra Hindley, his encounter with them is simply a very small part of the book but his encounter with them is gorgeously innocently told once again.
