Overall NFS Payback isn't a terrible game, although far from the best in the series. I got it for free on Xbox Gamepass. Pros: •Customisation is great •Good car list •Unrealistic but mostly fun driving physics •Map is not terrible •One of the best NFS games in a while •World and cars look great •Derelicts give a hint of Forza Horizon Cons: •Crash reset system is erratic •Takedown cam is annoying (able to turn off in settings) •Storyline dialogue is pretty cringey •Offroad race physics can be very challenging •Why would I race a drag car on a switchback mountain road? •Game ending is underwhelming

Absolutely hate how you have to unlock upgrades and earn car points to upgrade your cars. I didn't purchase this game to grind just to unlock upgrades that have been accessible from day dot in every other modern FM game. Purchased the premium add-ons and wish I could get a refund. Nothing like the old Forza Motorsport games. Maybe I'm just being a pessimist but feels like a step in the wrong direction.
