I feel like people don't like this show because they aren't getting the complexities of a coming of age story set in the modern world, how climate change is affecting the youth, what it is to be a disabled youth, and all the subtle Norse mythology references throughout.
(Also, yeah, the Giants are weird, but you just have to remember that they are ancient beings in the bodies of young adults, so whatever they do is a bit jarring)
Sure, the pacing is a little off in the first two episodes and they feel a little clunky, but the show really gets it's footing in the third episode and takes off from there! I high key recommend.
