Utterly dreadful! Dont waste a minute of your life on this! What should have been a nice period drama for a Sunday night has been ruined by unnecessary roughness, rawness, rudeness, bad type casting and wooden acting. This adaptation of a wonderful book, has been written to shock and disturb the audience, not to entertain, and has lost all the intrigue and essence of the original story. I would rename this drama Failed Expectations, it falls short of the old black and white version.
