Simply couldn’t put this book down. It’s of course an emotional read, but I found myself re-reading some sentences over and over again because they were so beautifully crafted. Keep some tissues handy!

It took me a little while to get into it, but once i did I couldn’t put it down. Part two really resonated with me and had me reflecting on my own experience of being a migrant and the struggles of our initial days.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I simply couldn’t put it down! I was completely absorbed by the characters. If you like history you’ll definitely like it. It was a perfect blend of history and a bit of romance.
