Although I would say sometimes can get a little corny(I know! it’s a teen drama) and some parts of the plot are a bit inconsistent( a 16 y/o in a gay club?) overall the show is a solid one, specially the acting and the way the stories are told, the lead character Victor, got a lot of charisma to push the story through, I was so delighted to see Ana Ortiz! She is amazing in this role and I totally connected between the mother and son relationship here! They had a great chemistry on scene.
The dynamics between all the actors and the way the story was told is almost perfect and still in the same “Simon” universe makes it really good.
There are some powerful moments when the main character deals with confusion, kudos to the writers, because, I felt that myself, the phrases, sentences the way he felt about himself, it was all taken in a very realistic way, of course, some parts are corny, but, again is a teen drama and the result was a very well written one. Last teen drama I saw with this interest was “Dawson’s Creek”, but, this one is very close to home for me I will give it a 4.5 stars.
