Movie itself was ok. Obviously doesn't hold a candle to the original, but was ok. Worst part of the entire movie was what a complete douche conner McGregor was. Odd thing was it didn't really seem like he had to work too hard at it. The walking around with his wheelbarrow and all bow legged seems to come awful natural. In fact I believe I've seen him doing it in real life more then once. Let's hope he doesn't make a habit outta acting or he'll destroy more movies. Im flabbergasted to see other reviews saying how great Connor was....have they not seen good acting before? He was a joke at best. Other then that, it's worth a watch. Entertaining if Nothing else. Gyllenhaal was good as Dalton. He brought a sense of the same calm, confident demeanor swayze did in the original as well as added a touch of dry, smartass humor. Of course he was a loaner with a troubled past like the original. Some of the other acting was hit or miss. Worth watching solely based on the fact that it's a reboot of the original road house. I was disappointed there was no Wade Gattett (Sam Elliot) character like the original. Also disappointed in the lack of development of relationships between dalton and really anyone at all. Id be floored if you loved it but I'd be just as floored if you wernt somewhat entertained as well. I would give it 3.5 if I could.
