Cats is one of my favourite musicals. I saw the original London production and have seen three touring productions, but this film is dreadful! The singing is poor, they might be famous actors but they can’t sing, and the dance routines have beautiful dancers but are spoiled with disjointed close-ups of feet and faces! The film would have been better with some good ‘Special Effects’ but sadly the special effects are rather amateurish and not very special. It was a shame I was really looking forward to it!
