This is the third time I have watched the movie and I would still want to watch it again. Now I've read other reviews that generously gave one star, at least for the "effort" they said and the "costumes and acting" they said. I noticed that they rated it the way they did while also mentioning the word "horror". I think they neglected the fact that it isn't supposed to be a gothic horror film but rather a gothic romance. Which in my opinion is almost perfectly done if it weren't for the very few lacking aspects in the movie. The ghosts were fine, as it is I think just a metaphor of the past like Edith said. Though I'd like to point out Edith herself. I read reviews that stated that she doesn't know how movies work and her character is contradicting itself when it comes to the guy. In my belief, it was normal.
