Very well done adaptation so far. I am cracking up at all the people crying about the “race swapping” of Sarah and other characters. lol If they kept it the same these same people would be complaining they, “mAdE iT tOo mUcH lIkE tHe gAmE hUrR dUrR”. Sarah is an excellent and thoughtful casting and so is Joel.
They kept it true to the game script so far with subtle and not so subtle changes that make it familiar and different enough to still be fun. I enjoy that they set the outbreak in 2003. Obviously we know that nothing like this happened in 2003 so we make the shift in our minds to an alternate timeline from real life and the original game and move on quickly. Enabling us to not over analyze, allowing ourselves to be immersed in the story rather than technical details. Which is part of why the game is so wildly successful. Well done. Game adaptations are extremely difficult to pull off and so far they are nailing it. Bravo
