Despite good acting and adoring Dick Van Dykes role. I was disappointed that the charm of the original was missing and the catchy songs. The songs were too forced and not really fun songs. The background music of the original songs caused me to here the words and miss the original version too much. I feel it could have been done better. Mr. Banks was not endearing and Jane would have faired better.....after all ; Mary Poppins raised them.
