Where to begin. The original is one of my fave movies. The magic that it brought, the Burton feel I like to say. Such a different style of movie. Nothing like it out there, other than other Burton films. The plot was smooth and the acting was fantastic. It's a forever classic. I went into this with low expectations, knowing there was a slim chance it would even compare. Thankfully so, because it wasn't even close. The original was a homerun and this was a single at best. The plot was all over the place with multiple storylines. Most nonsensical and could have been left out entirely. Justin Theroux's character was absurdly annoying. Sometimes sequels just shouldn't be made. This was one that should have stayed on the shelf. Now there are some that might enjoy and truly appreciate the valiant attempt at doing a sequel. If you're a fan of the first you have no choice. But beware if you are expecting anything as good as the original.
