Absolutely brilliant, better even than the original which itself was a masterpiece of musical cinema. This Spielberg version pays homage to the original and then outdoes it in the acting, particularly in the lead roles, the spectacular dancing, the camera work and the sets. One of the best films I’ve seen for years.
