Excellent one.Suriya is not like many other actors who are apparently superstars.He can pull of such emotionally daunting roles with such an impactful performace. add to that the impeccable supporting performances by aparna balamurali and urvashi, this one is up with the best of the best biopics ever made in indian cinema history.

I have never written reviews for any movies.I hadn't felt the need for it ever before.I was on a streak of watching Aishwarya Rai movies.I read somewhere that her acting was good in this movie, which made me take the plunge(as i never really wanted to watch such mood killing flicks).But the truth is that I am writing this review just after the end credits of the movie rolled up at 1:10am in the morning.First of all I must say the directorial effort of Rituparno Ghosh is subtle yet severely touching.As for the performances, Ajay Devgn and Aishwarya Rai just slayed the movie by throughout flexing their underrated thespian skills. Add to that the performance masterclass of Annu Kapoor, this film got you covered entirely in the acting front.Rather than using unnecessary music or background score to accentuate the emotions, the director choose to convey the raw emotions as such .The one song by Gulzar sab took the theme of the film to a whole new level.The verdict is if you are able to clearly comprehend what the director intended( which I think most people watching this movie would be capable of)then you are set out to watch one of the best ever heart touching romantic dramas in the world. Trust me you will surely get moved by this one.
