I feel that a lot of the bad reviews for this Star Wars series in particular is due, partially, it's slow pace. But mainly because the main cast is female led. It more considerate than the other series, and is far better than the Obi Wan series, which was boring and drawn out. The main fan base of Star Wars is still stuck in the misogyny of the original 3 films, e.g. Leia being a sex slave (yes, she is a strong character but her being sexualised was to remind us to sexualise her and remember that she is a woman. After all, no men were taken as sex slaves in the series). These fans do not want to see the women in these series being people who fight, develop, and problem solve. Additionally, the concept of working with nature instead of exploiting it is shown nearer the end of the series. This adds to the view that this show is too feminine by the harder core misogynists who dislike this show for sexist reasons.

This has got to be the worst spin off show I have ever seen for several reasons: 1. There should be a trigger warning for the sexual abuse shown in the show. 2. Lady Danbury is raped numerous times by her husband and it is shown to make the audience laugh. (The comical heaving and the zooming in on her bored face) Also, a piece of media should never show rape from the rapist's point of view. 3. Showing the rape in different sex positions. 4. The show then shifting its position of rape to something seriously damaging to an elder lady Danbury. (This would been serious and heartfelt if the pervious issues had not been mentioned) Now, for the less serious transgressions: 5. The script is written as though they were speaking from today, the writing is absolute trash. 6. Lady Danbury and Viscountess Bridgerton being shown as friends (they spoke so casually to one another, they were never friends in the main show). 7. Charlotte never undergoes any character arc, she starts off like a brat and ends up like a brat. 8. There was nothing to hook the audience. 9. Lady Danbury and Viscountess Bridgerton comparing pain (this feels like a conservative boomer talking point). Do not be fooled by the outfits and settings, Queen Charlotte is only part of the Bridgerton series in name.
