They still think that making a sequel is about just recreating and amplifying the wonderfully fantastic universes created by original movies. They have tried so hard to repeat iconic elements and scenes such as the posession dance, covers of well selected songs for the first movie (day-o) chorus mode, etc... and they have forgotten the basic principles of making a movie. The plot is just a chaos, characters and atorylines that goes nowhere, forced argument and poor humor. The movie is just boring as hell and you keep waiting something special happens. The new characters are dull and there is nothing but some special effects. Dont be fooled by impresive images of cast such monica belucci appearance, whos role in the movie is walking around to then do nothing and end of the story. Watching this felt like watching trainspotting 2 to see a whole plot created around making excuses to repeat (or try to emulate) iconic moments. Beetlejuice 1988 is iconic. Beetlejuice beetlejuice 2024 is just lame. No one will remember it. Save your money and choose something else at the cinema theater.
