I am a regular viewer of The Project which provides a novel approach to the News. However, I was incensed by the segment last week in which Sophie McNeil was interviewed. Sophie used to work for the ABC in its Middle East Office. She has consistently dispalyed a strident pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli bias. One would have been forgiven for thinking that her interview on the Project was as a spokesman for the terrorist organisation Hamas which controls Gaza. She gave not the slightest hint that Hamas was responsible for firing thousands of rockets at civilian targets in Israel. This was not a case of collateral damage to civilians- they were deliberately targeted. It behoves The Project in the interests of balanced journalism to invite a speaker to present the pro-Israeli case.
