I’m someone who loses interest very quickly so not sure how I managed to get to episode 5 (was half watching up to this point). Then Mr. Gu does the crazy jump for MJ and I was all in. Gu and MJ’s brother dynamic was so entertaining and as I paid closer attention to the dialogue, I realized how amazing of a job the writers did. I rewatched the beginning and began to appreciate the silent family food scenes (so relatable). Every minute detail became special. Even my hubbie put his phone down and started rewatching with me. The siblings are hilarious - even the neuroticism of the oldest sister was endearing. Finding joy in the imperfections of life - older sis finding love as an older woman, MJ handling her own shit when Gu could easily get the money back for her. The fact that this slow paced slice of life drama captured my attention through every episode amazes me. Now, I rewatch it every now and then. Also, love all the extras! Never watched a Kdrama with so many extra characters (love the Joy Center lady, Changhee’s chubby friend). Kudos to the casting director. Fave scenes - Changhee finding Gu’s car key. Then, Gu chasing him down after the car gets a scratch 🤣
