The counselor represents the devil. The devil is a liar . God does offer eternal life through salvation. Molly thought she was saving herself and her Dad,by stabbing herself instead of her Father.(deceived by the counselors words) She was changed after she stabbed herself the first time,understanding and accepting her destiny after the second.... she cared for her Dad before she stabbed herself,no longer did she care afterwards....I didn't like the devil winning ,but I still enjoyed the movie.
