This movie was amazing! To all the previous comments saying that they didn't show Jack's back story enough, that was the purpose. We felt a disconnect because everyone saw him as a famous person and not real, but Ally saw him as a human which is a reason he fell in love. The audience was meant to feel a distance from him and realize that the only person that truly understood him was Ally. The audience got just enough information to understand what could lead him on the path of addiction. Furthermore there are many parts where you think how can she stay with him and that is also the purpose, she makes a very active choice to stay with him because she loves him and there might not be logic behind that but that's love. Everything about this movie was authentic, artist loss of individuality, realistic fights, and raw love even when others don't understand it. AND the music is so great!
