Vomiting material. I have only heard snippets about this book which extensively encourages a very selfish attitude. It is all about "what I want" which is lovely except that it is promotes the idea that you can always get what you want at the expense of others. Instead we should look at the bigger picture, "I woke up this morning and I am grateful for that", "I have food in my fridge/pantry and I am grateful for that", "I have running hot water for a shower and I am grateful for that".
Instead of being grateful for the most basic things in life, the book encourages people to be grateful for things like having something material bought for them (this is 100% what the book is about, 100%). The person having that item bought for them is "so grateful to that person for buying them that item" but let me ask you this, what would the person buying that item for the other person have to be grateful for? Think about that very hard and you will understand what I mean about promoting a selfish attitude.
Instead we should be thinking "that person has bought something very nice for me, what can I do in return for them one day". This is the ultimate selfless attitude I live with as a rule of thumb, I know that I belong to a very rare breed. I have never done anything for anybody and expected anything in return, ever but when someone does something nice for me, I certainly can't wait to do something nice for them in return.
Silly, silly book that I most certainly won't be reading. I would never ever want to be encouraged to be selfish in any way shape or form. I just feel sorry for the people who read it and keep being encouraged to be selfish. Then again, they must be selfish to start off with if they have read it and heard that "you can have whatever you want" just by "wanting it".
