Too macabre for my taste. First five minutes of blood, violence, and fire had me hoping for better.

I generally love science fiction action movies. Special effects? Check. Action? Check. Gerald Butler? Cool. What could go wrong? Well, this did. So much silliness. So much corny, overdramatic dialogue. Younger brother? Perhaps from other parents. Self destruct can't be stopped? Blow up a massive space station shooting shrapnel in all directions without affecting other objects in orbit? Two astronauts saved by a... satellite? "Let's climb in and go for a ride." Don't think too much while you watch this and you'll be fine.

I would give this a minor thumbs up if you don't mind blood, gore, and some torture thrown in. The violence is very graphic and I would like to think that the torture scene didn't need to be quite so awful to watch. Plot and action are fine. The overplayed fat bad guy and his 'A team' of assassins were comically ridiculous, a bold contrast to Mads deep and dark character.
