Utter tripe! Since when would a husband and wife be allowed to work together as boss and subordinate on a case in the Police??? But hey let’s go fully woke and say they’d allow it if they were gay!! Typical BBC - pathetic drivel. They commission a drama then no doubt change the characters to be woke - so mixed race couples abound , gay couples everywhere. This doesn’t assist breaking down prejudice amongst those who are, it does the opposite. It’s patronising to all concerned. Just write a drama that portrays life as it is, which for most of us has every creed, race, sexual orientation, religion etc included without the need to over promote sections of society to satisfy an incredibly small minority who take offence at literally everything . Grow up BBC. And get a backbone!

A good watch but some sloppy moments that jar time-wise and offend my admittedly pedantic nature. First his supposed arrival in New York was underpinned by Ça plane pour moi !! Why not some ragtime or Scot Joplin ??? Clearly the director was a fan of Peaky Blinders in that regard. Next he is supposedly pursuing Dylan Cannon whilst filming North by North West (1959) when on her second ‘date ‘ with him she pitches up in a Ford Mustang which were not on sale until 1964. To me it just seems to take the audience for granted - that is no one will know etc. But many will and when it’s easy to simply use the right music and or car - it’s sloppy to not do so . Just saying !

I’m a fan and have bought and sold happily from Mathewsons for over 4 years . But I have to agree with the earlier post about the live show. I was exhibiting and no one seemed to know where to put my car - I was given no category label . It’s an interesting car - a 65 Excalibur owned by Tony Curtis - but was punted into a far corner . Ho hum ! But that’s not why I’m writing . It did seem odd to ban food and drink being brought in - one assumes there were good reasons - but in doing that someone monumentally underestimated the queues No end of people were moaning big time about waiting up to an hour to get some fairly uninspiring food. I hope this review is taken in the spirit it’s offered - that is to say great idea and could have been a great show but the catering and queues undoubtedly ruined it for many. Either let people bring their own food or double the catering outlets. And searching bags and confiscating food was a PR blunder . Just saying !

Appalling - this utter nonsense is yet another bow to the virtue signallers. This is tokenism at it worst and patronises the ethnic minorities it claims to support. I would be just as indignant if Roots by Alex Haley had Kunte Kinte played by a white man. Though I suspect the BBC would reject such a thing. That organisation is riddled with liberal nonsense that seems to delight in snubbing the history of the country it represents. You cannot change stories written in 1861 - reflecting the population and mores of the time, and confect it to suit todays values. We learn from history - the good and the bad - but by its lessons, not be re- writing it or worse still, cancelling it.
