The two stars are for the little donkey because the donkey was the only redeeming thing is this dull tale besides the scenery, and they killed the sweet thing off. Maybe that’s the point?? Perhaps I am simply not clever enough to pick up the “mastery” of this film and I am ok with that.

Superb. Darkly funny, shocking and redemptive. Most of the one star reviews missed the entire point, that not everything needs to be spelled out and catered to your taste. You are the antagonist in this movie. I throughly enjoyed all of the stellar performances. All the service industry folks will especially enjoy this film.
