Well-written show that weaves history into fiction. I watched it during the Covid quarantine period and was amazed at how well done this is. It shows the truth that America has always been a diverse nation and struggled with the other. Native American history in all its complexities is a part of the show. Most of the characters are the complex admixture of good and bad that all humans are. The bar/brothel owner, for example, is a bigoted tough guy who acts in surprisingly heroic ways at times. A part of the show that I also really like is watching the evolution of a community as it grows. Just watch it.
