Yance, and many others like her, is the epitome of the outcome of a well-intentioned but controlling mother. Yance's pain is so so real and so much needs to be let go of. It cannot be held here anymore. No human should carry this, be it for generations to come or for posterity. This is a very very subjective commentary on a public atrocity. No doubt about that. But pieces were missing, gapinh! Pieces that are protected to protect those who control us. I left this story angry at the bondage still embraced. It must be no longer.
