As a War film in terms of entertainment it is up there with The Dirty Dozen, Kellys Heroes, the best bit of acting is the verbal spat between Darren Nessbit, and Anton Differing. Also a good musical score. With Rich Burton and Clint Eastwood in their prime it couldn't fail, I would go so far as to say one of my favourite all time ww2 films, just don't take it too seriously.
