A spin-off of the amazing movie, also by the Kendrick Brothers, "War Room", The Forge offers several powerful messages centered on building up disciples, reaching the next generation, single mothers, and focusing on those who are apart of a fatherless society, and the realities of the pain they face internally, but are too proud to express it verbally. Our culture, particularly black males, has taught us to bottle our anger inside us, drown it in sin, and ignore it, all the while causing it to rot and decay deep inside our souls. I love performance of Aspen Kennedy, as his character, Isaiah Wright, is challenged to face those inner wounds and allow God to free him and heal him from the inside out. It's definitely a feel good movie for the entire family, the only thing I hate about it, was that I wasn't in it Lol. Everyone in this film did an amazing job! Thank God for the Kendrick Brothers for another anointed film! I've seen it twice already and can't wait to purchase it when it comes out!
