Ambroise Quirin (Abz)

“Marvel Blindness” strikes again. So many people have raved about this show and even some critics are positive, and I have tried to like this show but it is DULL. There is nothing original in the plot which swings from one humorless cliché to the next. Some of the actresses do their best with the mediocre lines and some jokes hit their mark. But I am so disappointed in Joe Locke’ glaring inability to deliver lines in a convincing American accent. Why didn’t they just let him use his native accent? Some of his lines COULD be funny but because he’s fumbling the accent, the timing is off, and there is no sense of rhythm in his delivery. Gutted. I liked his other work a lot. The horror elements are VERY B - if that. There’s barely any tension or scares. It just feels like I’m watching mediocre witches stumble along the path - just like the mediocre production team and cast do with the show. Yawn.

I’d give zero stars if I could. Barely coherent. Prurient gore. Might have been written by teens. Practical effects aren’t even that great.
