Considering some of the cast, the result is underwhelming. Perhaps it's a combination of the script and acting which make it come over as quite hammy at times. CGI is over the top. Chariot scenes are blatantly plagiarised. And after episode 2, I didn't care about the characters or the story anymore. I am disappointed as I had hoped for something more like HBOs Rome which it falls woefully short of.
