A beautiful sensitive film. Lots of interesting reflective shots supporting the life and relationship reflections of the main characters. Good chemistry between the characters at every stage of their lives. Importantly, the Director avoided the obvious shots thus not falling into well worn cliches. 9/10

Moving, wonderfully cast and acted throughout and only slightly syruppy. But, the Best film 2022? The Oscar winner? I don't think so. Worth watching to its always predictable end.

Agreed....the ending is Unforgivable. However the acting and bleak unforgiving cinematography is well worth the watch.. Go make a cup of coffee about 5 mins before the end

A perfectly acceptable antidote to COVID. Good acting, very impressive cinematography and lighting. Ok, the storyline somewhat cliched but who gives a double injection?

Wonderful cinematography with evocative rural coloring so that the rural scents drift off the screen. So the plot is somewhat clattered and the fantasy sequences are a bit ragged and the cliches fall hard and fast with a deafening thud... but so what? It is a delightfully paced pageant in a setting that simply calls out for a good pasta to accompany it. Bravissimo a tutte.

Wonderful cinematography; fine acting; authentic settings.. not sure about tin foil in the 1930s... Very well deliberately paced. Why though the gratuitous nudity which seemed like a sop to current film making: it added nothing to the story line which otherwise was skillfully underplayed.

Dull, pretentious, no chemistry between Holmes and Stewart. Banal or allegorical? Who knows? Who cares

Simple storyline allows emphasis on cinematography and techniques. Very intense experience and utterly gripping while also being somewhat emotionally uninvolving. A DO NOT MISS movie
