Incredibly interesting. I am not all that interested in Huate Cuisine however the book starts with a general history of ancient foods and the cooking methods employed in Ancient Greece, Egypt and by the Romans.
There are fascinating details of the rules and etiquette of dining through the ages with fun facts and amusing quotes of the day.
Finally details of the great chefs that brought us so many famous dishes and the grand hotels and restaurants that allowed those chefs to hone their craft and be the creative inventors of cooking techniques we are familiar with today.
A great read.
