Susan Boobis

On paper Nightsleeper sounded promising. It’s a good plot. Unfortunately the script is clunky and I’ve seen better acting by a plank. The dialogue is ridiculous and punctuated by long silences and intense looks - presumably intended to ramp up the tension, but failing miserably. The hero Joe and heroine Abby have very little to work with, and Abby in particular is completely unbelievable as acting head of cybersecurity, as is her supposed boss, who waltzes around moaning and doing nothing useful. I probably will watch it to the end in the hope it might improve, but I’m not invested in it. I actually don’t care what happens. Poor drama from the BBC.
