Stereotype after stereotype, "shock" after "shock," the writing is sophomoric, hackneyed and tedious. Instead of a gripping story line we get all kinds of mini-stories loosely strung together in an improbable jumble. The caricatures of professors are one-dimensional and insipid, albeit occasionally funny, but to what end? There are many excellent novels and short stories in this genre, but this is not among them. Mildly entertaining enough, with some decent acting, that I give it 3 stars overall.
