This movie is well acted, and it is very thought-provoking. The plot around Clarence twists and turns in a very enjoyable way as long as you stay focused. There are many messages in the film, but the two that resonate with me is when the Roman is confronted By Jeremiah as to why white people continue to oppress Black people and people and other people of colour based on fear and greed .Also, for me there was a very strong statement about oppression of those people. Sadly, those clips were hidden in some back-and-forth dialogue and can be missed. If you don’t know the Bible stories, a lot of this will go over your head and I hope the “born agains” don’t take up a rally to shut the film down. It is fun it is serious and it twists your mind. I loved it.

Watched it in '95 it was so kitsch I bought copies to send to like minded lovers of cult movies. It became a girls night at my place with costume and gallons of water :) to drink. I am excited to see that it is still available. Definitely will watch it again with a new group of like-minded movie watchers! Watch it but have a little something first to get you in a giddy mood
