I usually don’t write reviews but I have to for this one. So, MLB The Show has always been my favorite franchise. I get it every single year for the PlayStation. But this year has been very frustrating to play (to say the least). First off hitting? Unless you play with the PCI don’t even bother getting many hits on franchise mode or any other mode really. Hits that used to be home-runs or even a base knock in 22 and before, are now pop-ups to the warning track or just pop-ups in general. It’s upsetting when you have a 95+ power attribute, a guy like Aaron Judge popping up or just hitting to warning track every single time!!! Second, the commentary is so annoying! They added a few new lines to it but is very repetitive. If you’re playing at Yankee Stadium you hear the same 2 suit stories, or that he went to Shea Stadium more than he did to Yankee Stadium, and his most memorable moment at Yankee Stadium is when Bo Jackson hit 3 home-runs in his first 3 plate appearances and hurt his shoulder sliding at home plate. Like cmon! That’s super sad that I memorized that entire line! Lastly, is honestly the same game from the previous years. I play it because I love the sport, I love the game of baseball, and I love this franchise but is just those little things that makes this years The Show less enjoyable!
