The premise of this book is so silly. I found it hard to believe that even John Grisham could turn this uninspiring "story" into something worthwhile. Don’t waste your time on this one. If you want to get a history book out and read about MacArthur in the Philippines, it would be more entertaining This book needed a better editor. It would still be hard to read if it was condensed into 200 pages from 450 or so. Waste of paper. The only mystery here is how it made it to print.
