Philip Brooks

I am new to Blue Bloods. Watching previous episodes on Ion and other streaming services. I find it interesting, that a show that takes place in New York City has very few persons of color in a recurring role that are in a position of authority. Thus far all of the African American persons I have seen have either been criminal or related to such. Even the women police officer in the episode I recently watched ended up being a thief. Other shows of this ilk have at least the TOKEN positive representation. (CSI, NCIS, Chicago P.D. etc.) Although this is the final season, I will continue to watch this well acted, scripted and enjoyable show despite its obvious flaws.
