So beautiful! It made me question what I would draw on to survive, not only in a life or death situation, but also everyday life. It made me reflect on being a mother and being a daughter. The transition of seeing your life though child eyes and then through adult eyes. How and when that happens. How our experiences shape how we protect ourselves from being hurt again. This series beautifully portrayed how our protection becomes our eventual prison and causes us to lose sight of ourselves. Liv, being faced with becoming a mother herself, had to face her demons and see life through a completely new lens, that of a parent. The journey that we are taken on is the emotional rollercoaster and jarring experience of transitioning through different stages of our lives. The sub-context emotionally entangled me. It perfectly encapsulated the complex journey of life and visually articulated the path of growth we are continually following. I found it to be utterly captivating.
