Avi Loeb, has had an interesting life and the book is an interesting read, I presume he's trying to highlight his experience and career as a top astronomer to nullify anyone writing him off as a crackpot who is obsessed with little green men. He achieves this but a good chunk of the book is taken up with his displeasure of his fellow scientists and their attitude towards his conclusions. I found myself thinking ok I get it! They don't believe you but come on lets move on and talk about the object more!
