The book tells a story that needs to be told. Women served in the Armed Forces during the Vietnam War but their contribution went unacknowledged.
The story is told in a running narrative filled with one description after another. About halfway through the book, the monotony of this running narrative becomes irritating and boring.
The story was flimsy at best filled with happenstance events. For example, a character we were told was dead was actually alive in a POW camp. The story became even more unbelievable when a second supposedly dead character was found alive.
