This film just isn't funny, unless you are the type of person who finds frequent outburst of swearing amusing. I thought that I may have become slightly prudish, but there was barely a titter from the rest of the audience, so I guess they shared my lack of enthusiasm. I can only assume that accomplished performers like Timothy Spall & Olivia Colman must have signed up to this film for a very large fee and without reading the script beforehand - it certainly does nothing to enhance their reputations. As an allegedly historical piece, it also lacks authenticity. The storyline is clumsy, predictable and rather preachy in tone. All in all, one to avoid.
