A very thought provoking movie. As someone who loves luxury and beautiful places I loved to watch Italy and Bali and I am Indian so I obviously love my country and the spirituality that it has to offer to every messed up soul in this world. I liked the point at which Liz in her marriage is so confused that she just decides to talk to god and she ends up crying and asking him to show her a way. But yes you do not need to divorce or travel the world to discover yourself always. And finding inner peace isn't as simple as a mere trip to an ashram in India. When you're ready your guru will visit you in some form or the other. I loved the carry home message though which is that you must see every other person as a teacher and not get attached to noone. Especially loved the scene where Julia pets the elephant that visits her outta nowhere... :).

Khup chaan chitrapat. Set in a very fine village with such down to earth, sweet people having simple yet content lives. It just potrayed materialistic human nature, how Keshava a very popular and respected astrologer loves the cycle handed down to him by his grandfather. Its touching to see how Keshav's life literally revolves around the yellow marvelous cycle so much so that when it is taken away he finds that he cannot even concentrate on his routine work. The movie shows us how the conscience of two thieves who stole the cycle is re aligned due to Keshav's good nature that the whole village seemed to acknowledge. My favourite part was when Keshavs daughter Manu thinks that the cycle flew away because it wanted to meet new people and was bored, that was well, really funny to me.
